Elebele Youth Movement Inaugurates New Executive Council
...New President Promises accountability, peace, and partnership
Elebele Town, Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State – The newly inaugurated President of the Elebele Youth Movement (EYM), Comrade Arimor ThankGod, has pledged to lead an all-inclusive, transparent, and accountable administration that will prioritize unity and partnership for the progress of the community.
Delivering his maiden address at the official inauguration held at the Elebele Town Hall, on Thursday 11th September, 2025, Comrade Arimor declared that he bears no grudges and intends to work with every member of his cabinet. “I have nothing against anybody. We are one family, and in unity we will achieve more. My leadership will be transparent and accountable, ensuring that the impact of our administration is felt by all – from the top to the bottom,” he said.
He also commended the efforts of his predecessor, Comrade Soso Holiness, describing his tenure as impactful. “We will not discard the good works already done. We will build on the achievements of the past administration and strive to achieve even more for Elebele youths,” he assured.
The inauguration featured the oath-taking ceremony administered by a legal practitioner, formally ushering in the new executive for a two-year term.
A prayer of consecration was led by Bishop Professor Joseph White, who charged the youth leaders to embrace peace and integrity in their service. “If you as leaders must succeed and achieve greater heights, one thing is very necessary, love and unity. Leadership is not about position but about service. Now that you have been sworn-in, be an example of a good leader in character, unite the youths, and let Elebele be known for peace and progress,” the Bishop admonished.
In his goodwill message, the Chairman of the Elebele Community Development Committee (CDC), Hon. Okala Precious, assured the youths of the CDC’s unwavering support. He urged them to synergize with other youth bodies across Bayelsa State for development. “The CDC will always stand with the youth. We expect you to build partnerships that will foster growth, peace, and unity in our community,” he said.
The highlight of the event was the symbolic handover of documents and responsibilities by the immediate past President, Comrade Soso Holiness, to the new executive – a gesture many described as a smooth and historic transition.
The new leadership of the EYM, inaugurated to serve a two-year tenure, includes:
