BAYELSA PDP MOURNS FORMER SOUTH SOUTH ZONAL YOUTH LEADER, LLOYD OWONARO, ESQ.
Yenagoa, Bayelsa State - The Bayelsa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), led by its Acting Chairman, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Lloyd Owonaro, Esq., a two-term former South South Zonal Youth Leader of the PDP.
In a statement signed by the Acting Publicity Secretary of the Party, Alasuote Wright, the PDP described the late Owonaro as “a vibrant, visionary, and committed party man who gave his best years to the service of the PDP and the empowerment of young people across the South South region.”
Hon. Turnah noted that Owonaro was not only a passionate advocate for youth inclusion in governance but also a firm believer in the principles of democracy, unity, and progress for which the PDP stands. “He was a bridge-builder and a strong voice for the young generation in our Party. His selfless leadership and loyalty to the PDP family remain a shining example for emerging leaders,” the statement added.
The Acting Chairman further emphasized that the deceased’s contributions to youth mobilization, political education, and grassroots development within the Niger Delta were invaluable and left an indelible mark on the Party’s history.
“The Bayelsa PDP mourns this painful loss with a heavy heart. Lloyd Owonaro was a leader who inspired others through his energy, vision, and courage. He will be greatly missed by the PDP family in Bayelsa, the South South, and beyond,” the statement read.
The Party extended its heartfelt condolences to Owonaro’s family, friends, and associates, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear this great loss and grants the departed eternal rest.
