PDP SOUTH SOUTH ZONE MOURNS FORMER ZONAL YOUTH LEADER, OWONARO
Port Harcourt - The South South Zonal leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep grief over the passing of Lloyd Owonaro, Esq., a two-term former South South Zonal Youth Leader of the Party, describing his death as a painful loss to the PDP family, the Niger Delta, and the nation at large.
In a statement signed by Prince Etim Isong, Zonal Publicity Secretary of the PDP South South Zone, the Party hailed the late Owonaro as “a dynamic and dedicated leader whose passion for youth empowerment and unwavering loyalty to the ideals of the PDP stood him out as a true party man.”
The statement noted that during his tenure as Zonal Youth Leader, Owonaro played a pivotal role in mobilizing young people, fostering political education, and nurturing the next generation of leaders within the PDP. His commitment to service, discipline, and the unity of the Party earned him admiration and respect across the South South.
“The South South PDP family mourns the departure of one of its most vibrant and visionary youth leaders,” the statement read. “His legacy of mentorship, courage, and selfless leadership will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.”
The Zonal leadership further acknowledged his invaluable contributions to the growth and stability of the Party in the region, noting that his passing has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
The PDP South South Zone extended its heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, friends, and the larger PDP community, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the loss and grants the departed eternal rest.
