KOLO 3 OPINION LEADERS HONOUR TURNAH WITH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, LEADERSHIP AWARD

Kolo-Ogbia, Bayelsa State - The Kolo 3 Opinion Leaders Forum has honoured Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, the Zonal Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South South Zone, and Acting Chairman of the PDP in Bayelsa State with a prestigious Award for Community Development and Exemplary Leadership.

The award, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, visionary leadership qualities, and unwavering commitment to service and excellence, was presented during the Second Edition of the Awards Presentation and End-of-Year Programme, held at the Kolo 3 Playground in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Presenting the award, the Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Ayens Adogu, who commended Hon. Turnah for his relentless efforts toward the advancement of Kolo 3 community and its indigenes, praised him for consistently prioritizing the welfare, unity, and development of his people, describing him as a selfless leader whose influence has continued to translate into tangible benefits for the grassroots.

Speakers at the event took turns to pour encomiums on Turnah, describing him as an illustrious son of Kolo 3 who has remained courageous and principled in standing for truth, justice, and the collective good of society. They urged other leaders to emulate Turnah’s lifestyle of service, humility, and commitment to community development.

According to the Opinion Leaders Forum, the honour reflects a widely held belief in Kolo 3 that “no matter the height of one’s rise or influence, it remains incomplete if one’s people do not feel the impact of that success.” They noted that Turnah’s leadership has consistently aligned with this philosophy, earning him the respect and admiration of his kinsmen.

Hon. Barr. Turnah, who was represented at the ceremony by Hon. Aseki Subhami, Coordinator of G-House Ward 9, expressed profound gratitude to his people for the honour, and reaffirmed his firm belief in the growth, unity, and advancement of Kolo people, assuring that he remained resolute in defending and supporting all initiatives that promote the greatness and development of Kolo land.

He charged them to keep their faith alive and remain steadfast, assuring that no season lasts forever. He reminded them that moments of difficulty are only temporary and encouraged them to hold on with hope and resilience, stressing that, in line with divine assurance, joy surely comes in the morning.

The event, which attracted community leaders, stakeholders, youths, women groups, and guests from within and outside Ogbia, was among numerous recent recognitions received by Hon. Turnah, underscoring his distinctive leadership style and deep-rooted connection to his people.
