NEW YEAR: ORBIH URGES PDP MEMBERS IN SOUTH SOUTH TO EMBRACE UNITY, RENEW COMMITMENT

Port Harcourt, Rivers State - The National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South South Zone, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, has called on leaders, stakeholders, and members of the party across the South South region to embrace unity, discipline, and renewed commitment as the party steps into the New Year 2026.

In a New Year message released to mark the beginning of the year, Orbih extended warm greetings and best wishes to PDP members in the zone, commending them for their resilience, loyalty, and steadfastness despite the challenges faced by the party in the outgoing year.

According to him, the previous year tested the resolve of the PDP but also served as a period that reaffirmed the party’s enduring strength and shared belief in the ideals of democracy, justice, equity, and good governance.

“The passing year tested our resolve as a party, yet it also reaffirmed our strength, resilience, and shared commitment to the ideals of democracy, justice, equity, and good governance,” Orbih stated.

He applauded party members in the South South for their sacrifices, maturity, and unwavering belief in the PDP, describing their dedication as the bedrock of the party’s continued relevance and renewal in the region and the country at large.

Chief Orbih noted that the New Year offers fresh opportunities for the party to deepen internal cohesion, strengthen unity, and reposition itself as the true voice and hope of the people of the South South and Nigeria.

He urged PDP members at all levels to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to collective progress, stressing the need to always place the interest of the party above personal ambitions in order to achieve lasting success.

Reassuring members of purposeful leadership, the PDP chieftain affirmed that the South South Zonal leadership remains committed to fairness, inclusiveness, and the rebuilding of a stronger and more united party.

“Together, we shall consolidate our gains and prepare the party for greater victories ahead,” he added.

Chief Orbih concluded by wishing PDP members and their families a peaceful, prosperous, and fulfilling New Year, expressing optimism that 2026 would usher in renewed hope and progress for the party and the region.
