BAYELSA PDP COMMISERATES WITH JOY OYAGHIRI-FAGBEMI OVER MOTHER’S DEMISE

Yenagoa Bayelsa State - The Acting Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Elder (Mrs.) Blessing Tobili Oyaghiri, mother of Engr. Mrs. Joy Oyaghiri-Fagbemi, the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Rivers State Chapter.

In a condolence message personally signed by him, Hon. Turnah said the sad news was received with rude shock and a profound sense of loss, describing the late matriarch as a devout Christian, a woman of faith, and a philanthropist who lived a life of dedication to God, family, and humanity.

He noted that “the Bayelsa PDP deeply mourns the demise of this devoted servant of God, a woman of faith, and a philanthropist who dedicated her life to the service of God and humanity through her active involvement in the Greater Evangelism World Crusade (G.E.W.C) and other community-impacting initiatives.”

The statement further recalled that until her demise, Elder Oyaghiri was a founding member and Elder of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade (G.E.W.C), where she devoted most of her time in the service of God and in touching lives through various philanthropic gestures. Her life of compassion, humility, and unshakeable faith, Hon. Turnah said, continues to serve as an enduring example of Christian virtue and selfless service.

He added that “Her passing is indeed a great loss, not only to her family and the Rivers PDP family but also to all who had the privilege of knowing her and benefitted from her motherly counsel, humility, and generosity.”

While comforting the bereaved family, Hon. Turnah urged the children, especially Engr. Mrs. Joy Oyaghiri-Fagbemi, to hold firmly to the godly legacy and enduring values their late mother exemplified throughout her lifetime. He also assured that the Bayelsa family of the PDP will continue to stand by them during and after this time of grief, offering prayers and moral support as they prepare for her final rites of passage.

He further stated, “Though we mourn deeply, we take solace in the assurance that Mama lived a fulfilled and impactful life and has gone to rest with her Maker, whom she faithfully served. On behalf of the entire PDP family in Bayelsa State, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you and pray that the Almighty God will comfort you and your loved ones, grant you the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and bless the legacy she left behind.”

Hon. Turnah concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Elder (Mrs.) Oyaghiri and for divine comfort and fortitude for her family to bear the loss.
