South South PDP Congratulates New BoT Leadership, Expresses Confidence in Their Ability to Deepen Party Unity


Port Harcourt - The South South Zonal Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Senator Mao Ohuabunwa and Hon. Isah Dansidi on their election as Chairman and Secretary of the Party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), respectively.


In a statement signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Prince Etim Isong, the party described their emergence as “a clear display of the Party’s collective resolve to reposition itself for greater unity, stability, and national relevance.”


The statement commended the duo’s “wealth of experience, unwavering loyalty, and deep understanding of the PDP’s vision and founding principles,” noting that these qualities will further strengthen the BoT’s role as the conscience and moral compass of the party.


According to Prince Isong, “The South South Zone of our great Party is optimistic that under the distinguished leadership of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa and Hon. Isah Dansidi, the BoT will continue to guide the PDP with fairness, wisdom, and inclusiveness, ensuring that the Party remains the beacon of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.”


The statement further reaffirmed the commitment of the South South Zonal leadership to support the BoT and all organs of the PDP in sustaining unity and internal harmony within the Party.


“On behalf of the Zonal Working Committee, leaders, and members of the PDP in the South South, we extend our hearty congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure,” the statement concluded.
