TURNAH CELEBRATES FATHER-IN-LAW PROF. ANGAYE AT 90, DESCRIBES HIM AS A PATRIARCH OF HONOUR AND SCHOLARSHIP

The Zonal Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South South Zone, and Acting Chairman of the PDP in Bayelsa State, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, has joined family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers across the country to celebrate his Father-in-law, Professor Gesiye Salo Angaye on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

In a heartfelt message to commemorate the milestone, through Kelvin Loveday-Egbo his Media Assistant, Hon. Turnah described Prof. Angaye as an eminent scholar, revered elder statesman, and distinguished patriarch whose life embodies scholarship, discipline, integrity, and service.

He noted that reaching the remarkable age of 90 is a rare privilege granted by God and a powerful testament to a life devoted to intellectual excellence, moral uprightness, and the nurturing of generations through education and mentorship.

“As a father, mentor, and guide, your life has been a shining example of dignity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to family and society. Your legacy in academia and community development continues to inspire all who have had the privilege of knowing you,” the statement noted.

He added that Prof. Angaye’s calm strength, principled lifestyle, and devotion to family values have left an enduring imprint not only within his immediate household but across the broader society.

Hon. Turnah prayed that God Almighty grants the nonagenarian continued peace, sound health, and the joy of witnessing the enduring fruits of his labour.

The PDP chieftain described the 90th birthday celebration of his Father-in-law as a moment of gratitude for a life richly lived and a legacy firmly established.
