2026 CONVENTION: BAYELSA PDP MEMBERS LAUD TURNAH OVER STRATEGIC COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS

Yenagoa, Bayelsa - Members of the National Convention Planning Committees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Bayelsa State have congratulated the State Chairman of the party, Alabh George Turnah, MON, on his appointment into the Main Committee as well as the Screening Committee for the forthcoming 2026 PDP National Convention.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Bayelsa appointees, the members described Barr. Turnah’s appointments as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership capacity, commitment to the growth of the party, and unwavering dedication to strengthening the PDP both in Bayelsa State and at the national level.

They also expressed profound appreciation to the state chairman for his instrumental role in ensuring the enlistment of several Bayelsans into strategic committees responsible for the planning and organization of the party’s forthcoming national convention.

According to the statement, the appointments reflect Barr. Turnah’s commitment to promoting capable party faithful from Bayelsa State and ensuring that the state remains visible and actively represented in the affairs of the party at the national level.

The members further assured the chairman of their readiness to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing their quota towards the successful planning and conduct of the 2026 PDP National Convention.

They also reaffirmed their loyalty to the party and their commitment to working collectively to strengthen the ideals and unity of the PDP.

Those appointed into various committees from Bayelsa State include Mrs. Biobelemoye Igoniwari (Entertainment Committee), Raphael Kuku (Accreditation Committee), Efere Augustin (Medical Committee and Transport & Accommodation Committee), Kelvin Loveday-Egbo (Media Committee and Venue Committee), Toruyokotie Godspower (Electoral Committee) and Evelyn Bolouebi Odi (Zoning Committee).
