More Bayelsans Appointed into Strategic Committees of PDP National Convention
Yenagoa, Bayelsa - Two additional indigenes of Bayelsa State, Mr. Ogumo Suoyo Agama and Ms. Azibanigha Ayiya, have been appointed into the National Convention Planning Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the party’s forthcoming 2026 National Convention.
The duo, who are to serve as members of the Medical Committee for the convention, have expressed deep appreciation to the Bayelsa State Chairman of the party, Alabh George Turnah, MON, for facilitating their inclusion into the strategic committee.
In a statement issued on their behalf, the appointees commended Barr. Turnah for what they described as his proactive leadership and sustained commitment to ensuring that Bayelsa State is adequately represented in key planning structures of the party at the national level.
They noted that their appointments, alongside those of several other Bayelsans into various convention committees, demonstrate the chairman’s dedication to promoting capable and committed party faithful from the state while strengthening Bayelsa’s presence in national party affairs.
Agama and Ayiya also congratulated Barr. Turnah on his own appointments into the Main Committee and the Screening Committee of the forthcoming national convention, describing the recognition as a clear testament to his capacity, experience, and outstanding leadership within the PDP family.
They further assured the party leadership of their readiness to contribute their quota towards the successful planning and conduct of the 2026 PDP National Convention.
