PDP Dissolves Political Appointees, Directorates, Departments in Bayelsa


Yenagoa, Bayelsa - The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, has approved the immediate dissolution of all political appointees, directorates and departments within the administrative structure of the party in the state.

The decision, which takes immediate effect, is part of efforts aimed at strengthening the party’s internal structures and repositioning it for greater effectiveness.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday in Yenagoa by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Ikaebimo Mark, all individuals affected by the dissolution have been directed to hand over party properties, official documents and any other materials in their possession to the State Secretary of the party without delay.

The statement noted that the directive applies to all political appointees and officials serving in the various directorates and departments under the state party administration.

While announcing the development, the state chairman expressed appreciation to those who had served the party in different capacities, acknowledging their contributions to the growth and progress of the PDP in Bayelsa State.

Turnah also wished them well in their future endeavours and assured party faithful that additional steps aimed at consolidating the party’s structure and enhancing its operational efficiency would be communicated in due course.

The move is widely seen by party stakeholders as part of ongoing efforts by the leadership of the PDP in Bayelsa State to reposition the party for improved administration and stronger grassroots engagement.
