MRS. TURNAH PAYS SURPRISE VISIT TO PDP SECRETARIAT, ADVOCATES GREATER SUPPORT FOR WOMEN AND YOUTHS AHEAD OF 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS



Yenagoa - Wife of the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Mrs. Jennifer Timinipre George Turnah, on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the party’s State Secretariat in Yenagoa, where she called for increased support and inclusion of women and young people in the political process ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the visit, Mrs. Turnah commended party leaders and members for their commitment to rebuilding and strengthening the PDP in the state, noting that the role of women and youths remains critical to the party’s success and sustainability.


She emphasized the need for deliberate efforts to empower and give greater opportunities to these key groups, stressing that inclusive participation would not only enhance the party’s grassroots appeal but also ensure more responsive and people-oriented leadership.

Party officials and members at the Secretariat expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as encouraging and symbolic of a growing commitment to inclusiveness within the party.
