TURNAH HAILS CHUKWUEMEKA’S EMERGENCE AS PDP DEPUTY NATIONAL CHAIRMAN (SOUTH), CALLS FOR SUPPORT
Yenagoa - The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, has congratulated Hon. Aaron Chukwuemeka on his emergence as Deputy National Chairman (South) of the party at the just concluded National Elective Convention in Abuja.
In a statement issued on March 31, 2026, by his Media Assistant, Kelvin Loveday-Egbo, Turnah described Chukwuemeka’s emergence as well-deserved, noting that it reflects his unwavering commitment to the unity, stability, and continuity of the PDP.
He commended the Port Harcourt-born politician for his proven leadership capacity, particularly his impactful tenure as Chairman of the party in Rivers State, expressing confidence that he possesses the experience and political acumen required to excel in his new national role.
Turnah stated that the new Deputy National Chairman is well-positioned to deploy his wealth of experience to strengthen the party, foster unity among stakeholders, and reposition the PDP for greater relevance and electoral success.
He called on party leaders and members, especially across the southern region, to rally round Chukwuemeka in order to ensure effective leadership and the collective advancement of the party.
The Bayelsa PDP Chairman also reaffirmed his commitment, and that of the state chapter, to supporting the national leadership in building a more cohesive, disciplined, and result-oriented party ahead of future political engagements.
There is growing confidence within the party’s ranks following the successful conduct of its National Elective Convention, as the PDP continues efforts to consolidate its structures nationwide.
