BAYELSA PDP TO PRESENT CERTIFICATES OF RETURN TO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CANDIDATES

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State, has announced plans to formally present Certificates of Return to its candidates who emerged victorious in the recently concluded State House of Assembly primaries across the twenty-four constituencies of the state.

The ceremony, which is being organized by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party under the leadership of the State Chairman, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the PDP State Secretariat, Okutukutu, Yenagoa, beginning at 12 noon.

According to the party, the event will bring together party leaders, stakeholders, elected officials, candidates, supporters, and members of the public in a celebration of the successful completion of the party's internal democratic process and the emergence of its flag bearers for the 2027 State House of Assembly elections.

The PDP has specially invited the Leader of the Party in the state, Great Joshua MacIver, alongside critical stakeholders and supporters from across the state, to witness the presentation ceremony and reaffirm the collective commitment of the party to unity, inclusiveness, and electoral victory.

The Bayelsa PDP leadership noted that the ceremony marks another significant milestone in the party's preparations for the 2027 general elections and reflects its determination to consolidate on the gains of internal democracy, grassroots mobilization, and stakeholder engagement.

The party therefore calls on members, supporters, and the general public to attend and be part of the historic occasion.
