WARRI, DELTA STATE – Members of the Urhobo Mudiaga Movement for Sheriff and Tinubu on Sunday gathered at Hope Alive Liberation Church, Warri, for a special thanksgiving service to formally dedicate the movement and its activities to God.

The event attracted members of the movement, political supporters, community leaders, and other notable personalities from across Delta State, who joined in prayers and thanksgiving for the successful inauguration of the group.

Speaking during the service, the President of the Urhobo Mudiaga Movement emphasized that the foundation of the movement is rooted in faith and total dependence on God, noting that the decision to hold a thanksgiving service was inspired by the conviction that all achievements and successes come from God alone.

According to him, the movement does not rely on human influence, personal connections, or material resources, but places its trust in God as the ultimate source of strength, wisdom, and victory.

He called on members and supporters to remain steadfast in their faith while actively participating in the democratic process. He particularly urged eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections, stressing the importance of civic participation in shaping the nation's future.

“We believe that God is the giver of success and promotion. As a movement, we are committed to seeking His guidance in all our activities while encouraging our people to fulfill their civic responsibilities by participating actively in the electoral process,” he said.

The thanksgiving service was coordinated by renowned Urhobo cleric, Bishop Morris Billion Djanere, who delivered a message centered on faith, divine providence, and the supremacy of God in human affairs.

Bishop Djanere charged Urhobo people and Nigerians at large to place their confidence wholly in God, emphasizing that true elevation, leadership, and lasting success come only through divine grace.

“God remains the ultimate source of promotion and establishment. No individual rises to a position of honour except by His will. Therefore, we must continue to trust Him completely and seek His direction in all that we do,” the cleric stated.

Special prayers were offered for the Urhobo Mudiaga Movement, its leadership, members, and supporters, as well as for leaders at both the state and federal levels. Prayers were also said for peace, unity, security, and sustainable development across Delta State and Nigeria.

Expressing optimism about the future of the movement, Bishop Djanere declared that its next gathering would be marked by greater achievements, increased membership, and testimonies of divine favour.

The service featured spirited worship, thanksgiving, intercessory prayers, and moments of reflection as participants reaffirmed their commitment to the objectives of the movement and its vision for grassroots mobilization and political engagement.

The event concluded with renewed determination among members to pursue the movement's goals while maintaining their faith in God as the ultimate source of direction, success, and progress.
