Hon. (Engr.) Gabriel Claudius, popularly known as "One Million Man," has expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State, following the successful reception rally that formally welcomed him and thousands of his supporters into the party at Elebele Community in Ogbia Local Government Area.

In a statement issued after the colourful event, Claudius described the unprecedented turnout of party faithful, supporters, traditional leaders, women, youths, and residents as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in the PDP and its leadership.

He conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman of the PDP in Bayelsa State, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, for what he described as visionary leadership, political inclusiveness, and unflinching commitment to building a stronger and more united party. He also appreciated the Leader of the PDP in Bayelsa State, His Excellency Great Joshua MacIver, for his steadfast support and encouragement, which he said inspired confidence among party members and supporters.

The former APC stalwart equally thanked members of the State Working Committee (SWC), National and Zonal Representatives of the party, local government and ward executives, party stakeholders, candidates, and all PDP faithful who honoured the occasion, describing their presence as a reflection of the unity and growing strength of the party across Bayelsa State.

Claudius reserved special appreciation for the thousands of men, women, youths, community leaders, and his numerous supporters who turned out in large numbers to witness what he described as a historic political gathering, noting that their overwhelming support has strengthened his resolve to work tirelessly for the progress of the party.

He said the successful rally marked the beginning of a new political era for Elebele Community, Ogbia Constituency III, Ogbia Local Government Area, and Bayelsa State, expressing confidence that the PDP remains the most credible platform to deliver purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable development to the people.

Reaffirming his commitment to the party, Claudius assured the PDP leadership that he would deploy his experience, political structure, and grassroots support base towards ensuring overwhelming victories for the party in the forthcoming elections.

According to him, the task ahead is to consolidate the party's growing acceptance, mobilise support across communities, and work collectively towards restoring prosperity and improving the quality of life of the people.

He also called on political stakeholders and well-meaning Bayelsans who were yet to identify with the PDP to join what he described as the movement for unity, progress, and people-centred governance.

"The massive support witnessed at Elebele has shown that our people desire a new direction anchored on development, inclusion, and genuine democratic leadership. I am fully committed to working with the leadership of our great party to ensure that together we achieve victory at the polls. I firmly believe that with the PDP, joy is truly coming for Elebele, Ogbia, Bayelsa, and our people," he stated.

The reception rally, attended by thousands of supporters and party faithful, has been widely described by political watchers as one of the largest political gatherings witnessed in Ogbia Local Government Area in recent times and a significant boost to the fortunes of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of future electoral contests.
