Ator Okolosi Sworn-In As Udu State Constituency Lawmaker, Pledges Effective Represent Representation

Asaba, Delta State - Hon. Ator Okolosi has officially assumed office as the newly sworn-in Member representing the Udu State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Okolosi took the oath of office on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, during a swearing-in ceremony conducted by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, at the premises of the State Legislature Asaba
The swearing-in marks a significant milestone in Okolosi’s political journey and formally confers on him the responsibility of representing the interests, aspirations and concerns of the people of Udu State Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly.
Speaking at the occasion, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, congratulated Hon. Ator Okolosi on his successful assumption of office and welcomed him into the legislative arm of Government.
Guwor urged the new lawmaker to approach his legislative responsibilities with dedication, discipline and a strong commitment to the people who entrusted him with their mandate.
He noted that membership of the House of Assembly comes with the responsibility of contributing meaningfully to legislation, effective representation and the overall development of Delta State.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Hon. Vincent Oyibode, charged the newly sworn-in lawmaker to remain committed to his legislative duties and maintain a strong connection with the people of Udu who elected him.
Oyibode particularly urged Okolosi to be present at all sittings of the House, follow legislative proceedings diligently and ensure that the voices of his constituents are adequately represented on the floor of the Assembly.
The Udu Council Chairman stressed that effective representation requires the lawmaker to understand the needs and challenges of the people and consistently bring their concerns to the attention of the Government through the appropriate legislative channels.
He assured Okolosi of continued guidance and support as he begins his tenure, emphasizing that the new lawmaker would not be alone in the journey.
“We will continue to guide and support him in every way possible,” Oyibode said.
According to him, the success of the new lawmaker would also contribute to the progress and development of Udu Local Government Area, noting that the people expect purposeful and result-oriented representation.
In his remarks, Hon. Henry Sakpra advised Okolosi to uphold loyalty, discipline and orderliness in the discharge of his legislative responsibilities.
Sakpra urged the newly sworn-in member to familiarize himself with and strictly adhere to the established rules, procedures and operational guidelines governing the Delta State House of Assembly.
He emphasized the importance of discipline and respect for legislative processes, urging Okolosi to conduct himself in a manner that would preserve the dignity of the office and the institution he now represents.
He further encouraged the lawmaker to maintain cordial relationships with his colleagues and other stakeholders while remaining focused on the interests of his constituents.
The swearing-in of Hon. Ator Okolosi is expected to usher in a new phase of legislative representation for the people of Udu State Constituency, with constituents looking forward to effective representation, quality legislation and initiatives capable of advancing the socio-economic development of the area.
With the assumption of office, attention now turns to Okolosi’s performance on the legislative floor and his ability to translate the mandate given to him by the people of Udu into meaningful representation.
The occasion was therefore not only a formal transition into legislative office but also a renewed call for accountability, accessibility and service to the people of Udu State Constituency.
