IKPAKA DECLARES PDP “THE HOPE AND POLITICAL FUTURE OF BAYELSA” AS HE DUMPS NDC FOR PDP


Yenagoa, Bayelsa State - Bayelsa born businessman, Comrade Solomon Charles Ikpaka has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in less than four days after he dumped the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). Ikpaka in a statement issued to newsmen in Yenagoa by his Derector of Media and Publicity, Amb. Jesse Ese on Tuesday, described the PDP as the hope and political future of Bayelsa State.


Ikpaka who was the strength of the Nigerian Democratic Congress in Eduwini Kingdom in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, said the NDC has no future and his days in the NDC were mared by deceit from the leadership of the party, saying there is nothing in the NDC except fake promises, and advised Bayelsans to shun the party and embrace the PDP, the only party that can guarantee the development of the state.


Ikpaka, popularly known as "Mr. Intentional", commended the Chairman of the Party, High Chief (Hon.) Alabh George Turnah MON, Esq., for the support and warm reception given him upon his arrival in the PDP, and pledged his loyalty and support to the party. He also vowed to support  Hon. Michael Bless Olomu for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency seat and urged all supporters to get ready to deliver all PDP candidates in the 2027 elections. 


Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Party, George Turnah, MON, and the PDP Candidate for Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency seat Hon. Michael Bless Olomu have joined other stakeholders to welcome Ikpaka into the party, describing the move as a very great addition to the party.


Turnah in a statement issued to newsmen by the party's Publicity Secretary, Ikaebimo Mark said Ikpaka’s arrival has again restated the continuing political conversations taking place across the state and the attraction of the PDP as the platform for political participation, inclusion and service to the people, and urged him and his supporters to bring in their wealth of experience, grassroots connections and commitment to public service to the collective work of the party.


In the same manner, the Sagbama/Ekeremor PDP candidate for House of Representatives, Hon. Michael Bless Olomu in a statement welcomed Ikpaka into the party, saying that his track record of consistency, dedication, willingness to serve and wealth of experience give him confidence that his contributions will strengthen the Peoples Democratic Party as they all work towards the shared goals.
